Sherman A. Givens, CEO, SportsPower Professionals

 

Sherman Givens has over 25 years of coaching experience. He is also functions as a NBA Coaching Consultant and scouts for several international Teams. He's also a Sports Agent and NCAA certified to teach the Eligibilty clearing House to High School student Athletes. Sherman Served as an assistant coach for Nyack College and Manhattan Community College. In addition Sherman was General manager and Head coach (EBA) and also Head coach/CEO of the united States Basketball League (USBL) New Jersey team.

Sherman is currently on the Board of Directors of Reeves Drakeford Sports Foundation which mentors inner city kids utilizing the game of basketball to teach life skills. He also oversees the nationally recognized Headz Up Program working with NBA players to bring together mental performance and peak performance for young athletes in underserved areas.

Sherman is a well sought after motivational speaker.  He has always had a love and gift for working with youth and aspiring professional athletes. Throughout his career he has successfully worked  with community organizations, educational institutions,  and faith based organizations  to provide state-of-the-art coaching techniques and strategies and presenting basketball clinics.
